  • New Website Launch

    Thu 10 Aug 2023

Welcome to the all new St Veronica's R.C. Primary School Website: Your Gateway to our wonderful Family!

School is all about trying, learning and improving and that extends way beyond our classrooms.  That's why we're thrilled to announce a complete revamp of our communications with you all, including our website, the banners you see about the village, our prospectus, emails and newsletters too.  As we unveil our fresh, glossy design ethos in royal blues and whites, matching our uniform and logo, we welcome parents, carers, staff and visitors alike to embark on this journey with us.

Our new website has been crafted from the ground up with you all in mind, ensuring an easy-to-use platform that keeps you informed and engaged.  When browsing on a mobile device the website is slimmed down a little, allowing you to quickly get what you need, but on the desktop it looks extra special, with the website making use of the extra space available to it.

We've simplified our web and email addresses too, making them memorable... Everything is now under stveronicas.co.uk, so all our emails end in @stveronicas.co.uk and our website address is simply www.stveronicas.co.uk.  Don't worry though, all existing emails ending @st-veronicas.lancs.sch.uk and the old website address of www.st-veronicas.lancsngfl.ac.uk still work.  But, you'll agree, they didn't exactly roll off the tongue.

We've built this site with simplicity at its core.  Navigating the new site is easy with our new menus and search.  In fact, we are so sure that we got the menu system right that you probably won't need to search anyway.  The "Join Us" section is your gateway to discovering what makes St Veronica's a remarkable school.  The "News & Events" section will from now on only showcase larger events and occasions at school and your daily glimpses into our classrooms and adventures will go straight to our Facebook page as usual.  The "Our School" section contains the more formal things about us, including curriculum, policies, performance, finance, Governing Body and the like.  For parents and carers with children at our school, the "School Hub" is your go-to spot.  From FAQs to lunch menus, newsletters to calendars, class pages and wellbeing resources, we've got it all in one place, literally putting "School in your pocket."

Our all-new class pages have been thoughtfully put together.  All start by providing essential information for the academic year, complete with hints and tips.  Each have an "In Class" page which includes class timetables, curriculum newsletters, curriculum maps, knowledge organisers and so on.  Each also have an "At Home" page filled with advice and appropriate resources to supporting learning at home.  They are focused and predictable so as you move through the school years with us, you won't find yourself lost.

As a school family, we take immense pride in sharing the fun times, the knuckle-down times and the gifts and talents of our children through captivating photographs.  Our children make St Veronica's great and we know you'll agree that they make our website look great too.  We will continue to catch their shining moments and update our site photography a few times each year.

Our website is thoroughly tested to ensure a pleasant user experience, but that comes with the "being human" caveat.  We’ve got a few final pictures to sort out and a couple of bits and bobs to finish off but if you encounter any gremlins or broken links that slipped through our net, please let us know via website@stveronicas.co.uk.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to all the staff at St Veronica's who made a contribution towards this new website.  Special recognition and gratitude to Mrs Cawtherley, whose dedication and effort truly moved heaven and Earth to bring this project to fruition.  Your hard work and commitment have made this possible.  Thank you.

So why not start your journey with us right at the beginning by exploring our Headteacher's warm welcome?  We can't wait to share it all with you!

    The St Veronica's Website Team.

P.S. The photograph is one of our site designers from a few months ago, hard at work.
