Welcome to Year 4 Class!

Welcome Year 4, I hope you have all had a lovely summer break and enjoyed doing lots of fun activities. As your new teacher I am really looking forward to getting to know you all better and working with you, and I hope you are looking forward to getting to know me.
Now it's time to find out what we will be learning about this term.
In Maths we are working on rounding numbers, decimal numbers and understanding the place value of numbers, numbers which include decimals and fractions as well as some work on shapes, just to name a few. I would also like you all to learn your times tables, so remember you can logon to Timestables Rock to practise them. Your login will be your first name all in lowercase letters and the password is year4, again in lowercase letters.
In English we will be working on Explanation writing, Fantasy Stories and Playscripts.
In RE we will be thinking about our families and Jesus' family.
I’m sure we are going to learn lots of new things and have lots of fun.

We all wrote an Advent Christmas promise, which we have put inside our Advent boxes and hung on the class Christmas tree.
Thank you to the PTFA for buying new art equipment, we made clay models of the Plague Doctor with the clay.
