Rossendale Halloween Trails
We have teamed up with Pendle Forest Orienteers to create a Halloween Trails event across Rossendale for Halloween, in total there are 5 different routes across Rossendale for families to have a go at.
The Trails will only be 'live' (as in the A4 sheets on lamp posts) from the Saturday (31st October) and Sunday (1st November) of Halloween weekend. I have attached an info sheet and answer sheet should you wish to print out for families that don't have printers or to send home to all pupils along with your newsletter.
Families are welcome to do any or all of the Trails if they so wish as long as they are keeping with current social distancing guidelines. The main aim of the Trails is just to get people interested in the sport in a basic form and to publicise the club around the area hence there's no time limit or recording.
Even though it's predominately aimed at families there's no reason why High School children can't do the trail too, especially those doing Duke of Edinburgh or Sports Leader awards for example.
I have attached all 5 maps for Stacksteads, Crawshawbooth, Stubbins/Edenfield, Rawtenstall and Haslingden.
All of the above information can be found on the below website, please promote this to your families via your website, social media and school weekly letter.
The Helmshore Scarecrow Trail is back again for 2020
Maps for the Trail will be on sale from Friday 30th October for £3.00 from Neary's Village Store, Helmshore.
All the money raised will go to East Lancashire Down's Syndrome Support Group.
We hope as many children / families as possible will come along to enjoy this great (socially distanced) event. This year St. Veronica's will have their very own 'Scarecrow' so make a point of heading to the school gates to see our creation.
